Tick tock: Will you take the Escape Room Challenge?

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – Would you pay to get locked in a room with a limited amount to escape?  It is called the Escape Room Challenge and now we have our first one in Dayton.

It is a popular trend and now the Laser Web Entertainment center in Washington Township has developed a Mad Science Escape room.

The concept is pretty simple.  You are physically locked in a room and must solve a series of clues, puzzles and mental challenges in order to break free.

Groups of four to ten are locked inside a makeshift lab when an experiment goes wrong and the doors are sealed.  The object is to use team work to solve a series of clues to unlock the lab door before time runs out.

There’s a time limit of 45 minutes and you don’t need a science degree to crack the code.

“A lot of it is common sense and communication. If you put a group of ten people in here you’re going to have 10 different skill sets.  I may be able to go and say hey I know math and this makes sense to me where as someone else might be familiar with a periodic table,” Tom Parker VP Web Entertainment.

Right now the only way to reserve a spot is on the web.  Click here for more information.
