24-hour emergency medical care coming to Preble County

EATON, Ohio, (WDTN) – Kettering Health Network will open a new emergency center in Preble County, the first of its kind in Eaton.

The Emergency Center is located at the Preble County Medical Center, 450 Washington-Jackson Road in Eaton.

It is the only facility in Preble County that will provide high-level emergency care 24 hours, seven days a week. The facility will provide treatment for those suffering from a heart attack, stroke, or needing access to Level III trauma services at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton. The 24,000-square-foot center includes 12 patient care rooms, a new location for pharmacy, imaging and laboratory services, and is staffed with board-certified emergency physicians.

The Emergency Center, which is accredited through Grandview Medical Center, cost nearly $13 million. Kettering Health Network will celebrate the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, August 11. The Emergency Center will host a community open house on Sunday, August 23 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Emergency Center opens for business on Monday, August 24.
