DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The so-called ‘ghost robber’ will spend nine years in prison for his crimes.
Romero Battigaglia, Jr., 32, of Dayton, was sentenced for 12 crimes.
Most of the cases involved theft offenses and drug possession dating back to January 2014.
Prosecutors say he robbed convenient stores, gas stations and innocent store patrons.
The ‘ghost robber’ moniker came from his tendency to wear a hat and wrap his face in cloth during his crimes.
Prosecutor Mat Heck calls him a “menace to the community.”
