COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) – ResponsibleOhio says it delivered more than 95,000 new signatures to get a marijuana legalization amendment on the November ballot.
In June, the organization turned in nearly 700,000 signatures to the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office.
The office said the organization fell short of the necessary number of valid signatures.
ResponsibleOhio then had 10 days to collect an extra 30,000 signatures in which it exceeded.
The proposed amendment would allow adults 21 and over to buy marijuana and establish a network of 10 authorized growing locations around the state.
