Hometown NFL star focuses on giving back

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Former offensive tackle for the New England Patriots and Greenville native Matt Light stopped by the WDTN studio on Thursday to talk about his camp and foundation.

The camp takes place every summer in Darke County and helps set great examples for kids to reach for year round, said Light.

In addition to football building skills, other activities also take place to help kids deal with the pressure of their teenage years such as fitting in and finding their identity, said Light.

Light said he feels blessed by his hometown and that’s the reason he’s had so many opportunities in life, which include playing in the NFL.
