KEENE, N.H. (AP/WDTN) – Ohio Gov. John Kasich says he’s “cool and calm” about the state of his campaign days before Fox News will determine which 10 GOP candidates will participate in the first debate of the presidential primary.

Fox will determine participation in Thursday’s debate by averaging the five most recent national polls. Most polls show the two-term governor and former congressman on the cusp.

Despite Kasich’s laid-back attitude, his campaign and the super PAC backing him are making an aggressive play to boost his name recognition and base of support. He’s spent four days in New Hampshire since his announcement and made trips to Iowa, South Carolina and Michigan.

The super PAC plans to air its third television ad next week, bringing its total spending in New Hampshire to $4 million.
