TSA looks to jump start airport security

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The National Transportation Administration is opening an application center to give you a head start at airport security.

The IdentoGO center will help you finalize your pre-check application.

TSA pre-checks allow you to get through airport screening quicker. You can leave your shoes, light jackets and belts on as you go through the check. You can also leave your laptop in its case and take 311 compliant liquids in your carry-on.

You should begin your application process at www.TSA.gov, then make an appointment to at the application center.

You will verify your identity at the appointment, so you’ll need documentation that verifies your citizenship/immigration status. You must also provide fingerprints.

The center is located at 230 Webster Street in Dayton.

It is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until noon and 1:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
