DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Good Neighbor House is making sure local students are ready to go back to school.
It held an outdoor book fair Saturday afternoon at its location at 627 East First Street in Dayton where students could get free books and back-to-school supplies.
Children from kindergarten to 8th grade were able to pick up to five books. Kids could also enter a raffle to win backpacks filled with school supplies.
Parents were able to sign their children up for Head Start and childcare services. Access to Good Neighbor’s medical and dental services was also available.
The event also featured snacks, sidewalk games, a coloring table, music, and story-time.
The Good Neighbor House is a faith-based nonprofit organization that provides services to people in need to help them become more self-sufficient.
