DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dozens of families enjoyed the sunny weather Saturday for a Party in the Park hosted by the Dayton Metro Library.

The celebration was held at Cooper Park and the Main Library at 215 E. Third Street in downtown Dayton.

“All summer, children and families have been participating in the Library’s Summer Challenge, working toward their reading and learning goals,” said Diane Farrell, Director of Development and External Relations. “This party is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate with a fun, free event.”

The celebration featured entertainment, crafts, games, contests, and prizes.

The library also introduced its new mascot and sidekick for the first time at the party.

Admission was free.
