DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two men now face formal murder charges for an early August homicide.
A Montgomery County grand jury indicted Avelardo Rosales, 24, and Joel Arias Guia, 23, for the shooting death of Dallas Draughn, 19.
Prosecutors say the two men fired shots from their truck in the 1300 block of Huffman Avenue on August 2.
They struck Draughn who was standing outside in front of an apartment building at the time.
A juvenile who was inside a next-door apartment was also shot, but is recovering.
Rosales was arrested in St. Louis County, Missouri. He is now in the Montgomery County Jail on $3-million bond. He is scheduled into court August 18.
An arrest warrant is out for the arrest of Guia.
Both men were indicted on two counts of murder, four counts of felonious assault, and a count each of discharging a firearm near a prohibited premises and at or into a habitation.
