DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – O-H-I-O at the F-O-O-D-B-A-N-K!
Brutus Buckeye led the charge of Ohio State University students who volunteered Friday at The Foodbank in Dayton.
The Foodbank says they appreciate the help because they rely heavily on volunteers.
“We’re so excited to have Brutus Buckeye here. It’s fun energy and he’s causing a ruckus, which is a lot of fun, and the people who work here are so excited to see him,” said Lora Davenport, community relations manager, The Foodbank.
The Foodbank says more than 130,000 people in Montgomery, Greene and Preble counties don’t know where their next meal is coming from.
They are always looking for more volunteers.
