HENDERSON, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas authorities say a fugitive sex offender from Ohio has been arrested in northern Arkansas.
Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says deputies arrested Larry Thompson at a home near Henderson on Friday. Montgomery says a tip to Mountain Home police that was passed on to the sheriff’s office led officers to Thompson and that he was arrested without incident.
Montgomery says Thompson was considered violent and was convicted in 2012 of gross sexual imposition/sexual assault. He was wanted in Clark County, Ohio, for failing to register as a sex offender and for a parole violation. The sheriff says Thompson is jailed without bond pending extradition back to Ohio.
