200 military personnel to fight wildfires

Chelan, WASHINGTON (NBC News) – Close to 3,000 people remain under a wildfire evacuation order near Chelan, Washington.

The Chelan Complex fire has consumed at least 65,000 acres and destroyed dozens of homes. It remains only 30 percent contained.

200 military personnel will be joining the fight against the dozens of wildfires currently burning across the western United States.

They will be trained on Wednesday, then sent to various fires across the west.
