EATON, Ohio (WDTN) – 24 hours after its announcement, ResponsibleOhio made its first tour bus tour in Preble County.

The “Green Rush Bus Tour” visited Eaton to educate voters about the group’s marijuana legalization initiative.

ResponsibleOhio says this is a way to introduce the voters to the future, that being one where marijuana is legal.

The non-profit’s officials say their amendment will benefit Ohioans in several ways, one being putting them back to work and bringing dollars into local cities.

But not all support the group or believe in its promises. Responsible Ohio assures its intentions are to better the Buckeye State and end prohibition.

“We thought this bus tour would be a good way to travel across all 88 counties talk to voters and let them know what we’re all about and what we’re here to do for Ohio,” said Haley Phillippi, a spokeswoman for the tour bus.

The next stop in the Miami Valley region is scheduled for late August at the University of Dayton, Wright State and the downtown Dayton.
