Yesterday afternoon, showers and thunderstorms fired up across the Miami Valley, as we heated up and destabilized. Take a look at the rainfall totals–note how much rain fell in Fairborn!
This morning, as skies clear out, we expect some fog to form. Watch for changing visibility as you’re driving around early on. The fog will mix out by late morning, and we will enjoy partly sunny skies during the afternoon, with lots of dry time. Today’s rain chance isn’t as high as yesterdays, and fewer locations will get wet. Just a 20-30% chance of a shower or thunderstorm popping up. You can see how sparse the coverage is on Futuretrac:
A better chance of rain will happen late Wednesday into Wednesday night, as the next cold front moves in:
We can’t rule out a couple storms reaching severe limits, with strong winds being the main threat. We will keep an eye on things as the front moves in. The front comes through overnight, and while we may start off Thursday with some morning showers, we will dry out in the afternoon. It will not be AS warm… and we will turn less humid. Nice weather will then continue thorough a good chunk of the upcoming weekend!
