CAMDEN, Ohio (WDTN) – A man who was pulled from a creek in Camden late Tuesday afternoon has died.

A Preble County sheriff’s deputy says the man’s family was performing CPR when they arrived.  Medics took over from the family, but the victim did not make it.

The Seven Mile Creek is located between Free Short Pike and South Main Street in Camden.  Deputies say it is a popular spot where people go swimming.

They say the victim is in his 20s.  He is not a resident of Camden.  He was there visiting family and friends at the time.

Deputies are investigating exactly what happened.  The Preble County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
