CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – A small kitten in Chesapeake, Virginia was pulled to safety thanks to the help of a shop vac.

On Wednesday, an Animal Control Officer contacted firefighters after noticing a tiny kitten stuck in a pipe. According to officials, the pipe had a 90 degrees bend that made it almost impossible to retrieve the kitten.

Firefighters arrived on scene and used a shop vac to pull the 5-week-old kitten to safety. The kitten, dubbed “Ridgid” after the brand of shop vac that was used to save her, is said to be perfectly healthy.

Ridgid will be available for adoption once she is 7 weeks old.
