COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Paul McCartney is planning a stop in Columbus in October, his first concert in Ohio’s capital city in a decade.
The news came Monday from Ohio State President Michael Drake, who made the announcement at the university’s student welcome event at the downtown Nationwide Arena.
Tickets go on sale Monday for the Oct. 13 concert at the arena, part of McCartney’s “Out There!” tour.
The 73-year-old former Beatle was in Cincinnati in 2011 and Columbus in 2005.
In April McCartney inducted former Beatles mate, Ringo Starr, into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
