BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio (WDTN) – The Bellefontaine mother accused of killing her three sons stood before a judge Wednesday as her youngest son was laid to rest.

Services for Noah Pilkington got underway at 2:00 p.m. He died August 18. Prosecutors say his mother, Brittany, confessed to killing him then said she killed her other two sons in the last year.

They say Pilkington said she smothered each boy because they got more attention from their father than she did.

Pilkington pleaded not guilty to all the murder charges against her.  She faces the death penalty.

Her attorney says Pilkington is no longer on suicide watch.  She remains in jail on $1-million bond.

She was described in court Wednesday in much the same way she has appeared up until now.  She appeared calm with no emotion.
