MIAMI TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol released the name of a man killed in a crash on Interstate 75 Wednesday morning.

Troopers say Mitchell Munoz, 41, of Troy, was parked on the side of the highway with a flat tire. He was in the southbound lanes just north of Route 725.

They say a pickup truck driven by Thomas Leonard, 54, of Franklin, veered into the shoulder and hit Munoz. Munoz was killed at the scene.

Leonard suffered minor injuries.

Troopers are still investigating, but believe speeding is a factor in the crash.

Charges are pending.
