Former officer reacts to recent police killings

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – After Tuesday’s fatal police shooting in Illinois, the number of officers shot and killed in the line of duty this year in the U.S. has risen to 24. Six of those in the month of August.

Former Dayton Police Officer Randy Beane joined Mark Allan on Five on 2 to offer his perspective. His partner, Officer Steve Whalen, was killed in the line of duty in 1991.
