Newport Aquarium offers first responders free admission

NEWPORT, Ky. (WDTN) – Newport Aquarium is paying special tribute to first responders.

It will offer free admission police and fire personnel during the weekend of September 11 through 13.

The days are in celebration of Patriot Day on the 11th.

“The men and women working in law enforcement, firefighting and first-response professions are our heroes,” said Eric Rose, executive director of Newport Aquarium. “Fire and Safety Weekend is a way Newport Aquarium can show them our appreciation for everything they do for our communities.”

First responders eligible for free admission include police officers, firefighters, EMTs, state troopers, correction officers, 911 dispatchers and other professionals involved in law enforcement, investigations and emergency response.

All you have to do is show your professional credential and a photo ID.

Family members will also receive discounted tickets.
