COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio’s elections chief is expected to discuss statewide ballot issues on redistricting, marijuana legalization and monopolies that voters will decide on Nov. 3.

Republican Secretary of State Jon Husted plans to make remarks about the fall election and other topics at a Wednesday forum in Columbus.

Husted, who is a long-time advocate for changes to how the state draws its political districts, has said he supports the redistricting proposal known as Issue 1 on the ballot.

He has criticized a proposed constitutional amendment that would legalize marijuana for medicinal and recreational use, which is known as Issue 3.

Supporters of Issue 3 are challenging the proposal’s ballot phrasing at the Ohio Supreme Court, arguing that certain words approved by Husted and the state Ballot Board are inaccurate and misleading.
