DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Thunderstorms took a toll on Operation Football games Friday night.
While the weather triggered some storm warnings earlier Friday afternoon, they were causing some high schools to delay or even cancel their games their Friday night under the lights.
2 NEWS spotted some sizable tree limbs down along Edwin C. Moses Boulevard in Dayton Friday afternoon. A downpour left a block of Liscum Drive underwater. One driver thought about driving through, but quickly changed his mind.
Spotty storms are possible Saturday, mainly during the afternoon and early evening hours.
The heat is not expected to let up for your Labor Day holiday. The high Sunday is 90 and 92 on Monday.
“You should be able to get one last day in at the swimming pool,” said Davis.
We won’t see much relief until a cold front moves through Tuesday night. That could trigger more storms.
