Scarpelli to forfeit property, money

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A former Miamisburg bank manager who pleaded guilty to embezzlement charges is being ordered to forfeit property.

As part of a plea agreement signed by U.S. District Judge Walter Rice, Amy Scarpelli will turn over a few dozen items including a vacation home, camper, money and six motorcycles to the courts.

Scarpelli admitted to embezzling more than $5-million from the US Bank in Miamisburg where she worked.

According to court documents, the government, who initially filed the lawsuit, has agreed to a sentence between 48 and 70 months in prison with restitution paid.

Scarpelli is asking for 48 months.  She is currently on house arrest awaiting sentencing.
