CINCINNATI (WLWT) – A crash on Interstate 75 closed the southbound lanes in the Lockland Split for nearly two hours.

Our sister station, WLWT, reported the crash happened just north of the Galbraith Road exit at around 10 a.m. when a truck jackknifed, overturning its trailer and spilling the load.

At least one SUV was also damaged in the crash. There are no immediate reports of injuries.

Traffic cameras showed some sort of black material next to the trailer. Dispatchers said they were told that the truck was hauling asphalt.

Traffic was backed up to Glendale-Milford Road by 10:30 a.m. Drivers should take I-71 or I-275 to travel south for the near future.

Tow trucks were attempting to move the trailer by 11 a.m. and succeeded in getting the trailer upright and removed. One lane opened by noon.
