Neighbor: Cars in water not uncommon

HARRISON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – Emergency crews are the Great Miami River near Embury Park Road and Susannah Avenue in Harrison Township for a water rescue.

Montgomery County Regional Dispatch told 2 NEWS a car was in the water but it was is unknown at this time if anyone is inside. Crews were called to the area around 7:40 Tuesday morning and are still working the scene. Crews have the vehicle out of the water and are searching it now.

A neighbor tells 2 NEWS it is not uncommon to see cars in the water there. She says it is a popular spot to dump vehicles.

Harrison Township Fire crews have called for help from neighboring departments. There are boats in the water from several agencies trying to determine if anyone is in that vehicle.
