DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – City officials say they will name a new interim city manager Tuesday afternoon.

That means current City Manager Warren Price will no longer be working for the City.

City leaders will not comment on the circumstances surrounding the situation, or Price’s employment status.

Price has made waves in Dayton lately with an apology to John Felton over a Dayton Police traffic stop that upset many in law enforcement.  At a city commission meeting earlier in September, Dayton City Manager Warren Price said, “We regret and we apologize to the community,” he continues, “we apologize for the lack of clarity regarding the circumstances of this traffic stop.” He said he stands by the Dayton Police Department and called it a lawful traffic stop.

You’ll recall Price was named city manager back in January. He came here after serving as chief of Staff and later public safety direct in Canton.

We expect more information during a news conference this afternoon.
