Fire damages two homes overnight

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – At least two homes have been damaged when fire sparks early Wednesday morning in Dayton.

The first call for help came in just after 5:30 for a home on fire at the corner of Edgar and Volkenand Avenues.

Our crews on the scene report thick smoke and that at least two homes have been damaged.

Officials say both homes are occupied but everyone was able to make it out okay.

One homeowner told 2 NEWS a witness told her they saw someone setting fires to both the homes before running away.

We have a crew on scene and will update this story as we get more information.
