SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – Southeastern schools are closed after several shots fired investigations and a police chase.
The 12 different shooting incidents all happened in the city of Springfield.
The shots were first heard Tuesday night. The most recent shooting hit a home around 3 Wednesday morning in the 100 block of Western Avenue.
Police say no one has been injured but several cars and homes have been damaged.
Police say last night one person was arrested following a chase that ended in South Charleston.
That person as well as another individual may be connected to the case.
Investigators say they’re now determining if these incidents are related.
A statement on the Southeastern School District page reads “School is cancelled today, due to an armed fugitive being on the run in South Charleston. Please stay safe, and keep your doors locked at all times until the suspect is captured.”
