DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton police had to drop an emergency call for help at the scene of a drug bust.
2 NEWS was first on the scene when officers were called to Benning Place to investigate after a caller said drugs were being sold in the area.
Police did arrest two suspects, but they did not go quietly. Officers say they had to use a Taser on one of the suspects as he tried to get away.
The suspects fought with the officers and that is when a “Code 99” was dropped, which means “officers in trouble”.
The tased suspect was taken to the hospital to be checked out. The other went straight to jail.
Police say say confiscated a significant amount drugs and a weapon.
