INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — There was a happy reunion Saturday at an Indianapolis firehouse.
Baby Dylan met the firefighters who helped deliver him last month.
The baby is doing well and so are his mom and dad.
Back on Sept. 28, Dylan’s parents were rushing to the hospital when they realized they weren’t going to make it in time.
Dylan’s dad stopped at fire station 8, jumped out of his van and waved for help.
Several firefighters rushed to help deliver the little guy.
“This is actually the first one I ever delivered,” firefighter Tim Jennings said. “I’ve been in EMS for 20 years. I’ve come in right after the delivery and dropped off at the hospital right before the delivery, but this is the first one I’ve actually caught myself. So it was an interesting evening for all of us.”
The fire department said the delivery was textbook except that it was done in the front seat of a minivan.
Dylan is the family’s third child.
