Police investigate shooting after victim arrives at hospital

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton police are investigating after a man is dropped off at Good Samaritan Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

Officer taped off a black Volkswagen outside the emergency room to hospital around 6 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Police believe the shooting may have happened in the parking lot of Showroom Detailing in the 2900 block of Salem Avenue, just down the street from the hospital.

Detectives said the man may have been getting ready to eat in the parking lot when he was shot.

The victim was able to get across the street to JJ Fish and Chicken where someone drove him to the hospital.

The man was then taken to Miami Valley Hospital where he is expected to recover.

Police are continuing to investigate.
