Quaker Steak & Lube in Fairborn suddenly closes

A sign on the door of the Quaker Steak & Lube in Fairborn says the restaurant is now closed.

FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) – 2 NEWS is trying to confirm why the Quaker Steak & Lube off Colonel Glenn Highway suddenly closed its doors Monday.

When 2 NEWS stopped by the restaurant, an employee was hanging a sign on the door that said the restaurant had been sold and a new location opened in Columbus.

We reached out to the franchise owner but have not heard back.

Customers say they’re disappointed.

“My granddaughter used to work here, she left about three or four years ago,” says Xenia resident Charles Thomas. “She worked here and it was a great place. A lot of entertainment, bike bights and great dinners. I’m going to miss this place.”

2 NEWS will keep you updated if we hear more.
