BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) — Several apartments were destroyed by a massive fire in Beavercreek Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the Wexford on the Green apartment complex in the 2900 block of Old Troon Drive after 1:30 p.m.

Residents had to be evacuated after flames sparked in one of the units. According to officials it started in a second level apartment and then spread to the attic.

Mutual aid responded to the scene.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire before it spread further into the 12 unit building. At least three apartments were destroyed.

No injuries have been reported. Several families have been displaced.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
