Pizza driver’s car stolen during delivery

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A Domino’s delivery driver’s car was stolen while he was on the job delivering pizzas.

It happened in the area of Frances and North Gettysburg avenues after 12 a.m. Sunday.

The victim told police he was delivering a pizza in the 100 block of Melwood Avenue. He parked in the driveway and got out of his vehicle but left the keys in the ignition. He said he went up to the door and knocked several times but received no answer. He told officers that’s when he spotted three men walking in the area. He said two of them got into his vehicle while the third suspect ran to another car nearby. The victim said he then ran to the driver’s side of his car and tried to get the keys, but the suspects pulled out of the driveway and fled.

The victim was not hurt.

Police later spotted the stolen vehicle near Oakridge Avenue but were unable to catch up to it.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 1989 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo.
