PLEASANT HILL, Ohio (WDTN) – Fire crews from ten departments are working to extinguish the flames of a barn fire.

Firefighters were dispatched to the corner of State Route 721 and Laughman Road on Monday just before 4:15 p.m.

According to our partners at the Piqua Daily Call, Witnesses say one barn and several vehicles were destroyed in the fire. The house on the property also suffered fire damage. It’s unclear if a second barn has been damaged.

2 NEWS is told several residents and neighbors worked to free the animals inside the barn. At least two of them died.
