Bike rack dedication held

Creating Healthy Communities gave "Bike Miami Valley" a grant that will help to install 71 bike racks in Dayton.

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Seventy-one bike racks will be installed throughout Dayton.

That’s all thanks to a $10,000 grant to Bike Miami Valley from Creating Healthy Communities.

These racks will give bikers a sense of security knowing that their bikes are in a safe location, said Laura Estandia, the executive director of Bike Miami Valley. The racks will also encourage people to think about biking when they’re making a destination, she said.

The bike racks will be installed across the community through the rest of the season.
