Witness: driver was speeding before deadly crash

Dayton police are investigating a deadly crash that blocked a portion of Germantown Pike early Thursday morning.

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A deadly crash blocked a portion of Germantown Street in Dayton early Thursday morning.

It happened just before 2:30 on Germantown at Illinois Avenue. 2 NEWS arrived minutes after police responded.

A car crashed into the fence–leaving a gaping hole.

Witnesses tell 2 NEWS they saw two cars speeding just before the crash.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirmed 24-year-old Angelaca Pleasant was killed in the accident. Firefighers say two other people were taken to Miami Valley Hospital. Their conditions are unknown.

Germantown Street reopened at 6:15 a.m.
