DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Social media has been buzzing about a popular local pizza chain is closing.

Marion’s Piazza on North Dixie Drive is seemingly on the burner of a prank. On Thursday, 2 NEWS spoke with the owner of the pizza chain who says none of their locations are closing.

Store manager, Ethan Brockman says one customer called in crying when she read the hoax on Facebook. Brockman says these social media pranks have the potential to harm business, but thankfully this bad joke hasn’t had an impact.

“We have had a lot of people come in and ask us if it’s true. We have some people come in and know that it’s not because they come in here all the time,” said Brockman.

Brockman says the restaurant is gearing up for their busy season, the holidays. They also have a new option on their menu, pineapple!
