WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WDTN) – The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office tell 2 NEWS two more people have been arrested in connection with a 2014 murder case.
Sheriff Solomon says, 26-year-old Sarah A. McPheron and 28-year-old Natosha Gilbert were both arrested after their involvement surfaced during the investigation into the murder of Charles Hicks.
McPheron was charged with involuntary manslaughter. Gilbert was charged with aggravated burglary, intimidation of a witness and murder.
McPheron was released on a bond and Gilbert remains in the Auglaize County Jail.
The arrest of the two women brings the number of people charged in the case to five. Aaron M. Dietrich, Joseph R. Furry, and James P. Dinsmore have been charged and have pleaded guilty to various counts in the case.
Sheriff Solomon said, “I am pleased that we are able to continue to bring people to justice responsible for this case. Some had different roles in the case, but all need to pay for the crime committed against the victim, Charles Hicks. Justice for the family is most important.”
