Sheriff: 2-year-old mauled by dog

ST. HENRY, Ohio (WDTN) – The Mercer County Sheriff is investigating a dog mauling case in St. Henry.

The incident happened Monday afternoon around 3:45.

According to Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey, Deputies were called to 4009 Lange Rd. in St. Henry when a woman called 911 and said her dog was attacking her 2-year-old daughter. St. Henry Police also went to that address because they were closer.

Officers from St. Henry put the Pitbull breed dog down after it charged an officer.

The mother and the 2-year-old were taken to the Coldwater emergency room with severe injuries caused by the dog.
