SICSA wants to raise $10K in one day

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – The SICSA Pet Adoption Center wants to raise $10,000 on Giving Tuesday.

The animal welfare organization has received a $10,000 matching gift for Giving Tuesday, which is December 1. They have set a goal of raising an additional $10,000 to help the homeless animals at their adoption center this holiday season.

Giving Tuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and during the shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The goal is to inspire people to support their local communities and give back to charities and causes they support.

“We are grateful for the support of the community in helping us match this substantial gift, dollar-for-dollar, to help care for hundreds of animals in need,” states Nora Vondrell, Executive Director of SICSA.

Donors can make their donation online at, stop by the office at 2600 Wilmington Pike in Kettering, or mail their gift to the same address.
