HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – Investigators were called back to the scene of a barn fire early Thursday morning.

It happened in the 5700 block of Brantford Pike in Harrison Township.

Ashes and coals caused the totally destroyed barn to kick up flames again, spreading dangerously close to neighboring homes and woods.

Crews received several calls from neighbors just after midnight, reporting the flames. Fire crews had left the scene not long before then.

The fire originally sparked just before 9 p.m. Wednesday night – a fire that investigators say is suspicious.

The barn was formerly a part of a fruit farm but has been abandoned for 30 years.

There were no reported injuries, and no word on a cause.
