Suspect arrested in deadly shooting

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – 2 NEWS has confirmed Dayton Police arrested a suspect in a deadly shooting.

37-year-old Awet Teskeste was picked up by police Wednesday as a person of interest in the Wednesday shooting that killed 29-year-old Milton Davis-Thompkins of Dayton.

Teskeste is in the Montgomery County Jail being held on a charge of murder. He is scheduled for a court appearance Thursday afternoon.

Thompkins and another woman were shot outside PC’s Lounge in the 2300 block of Gettysburg around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. Thompkins was rushed to Good Samaritan where he died. The woman at last check was listed in serious condition at Miami Valley Hospital.
