TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Jason Alford, 30, of Trotwood was found dead inside his Brumbaugh Boulevard home Thursday afternoon.
Alford’s sister discovered him and called 911 but investigators say he had dead for several hours.
“He had been shot at least one time in the head,” said Trotwood police captain John Porter.
Authorities did find multiple shell casings at the scene. Police are looking for clued to figure out what happened moments before shots were fired or if anything was taken during the altercation.
“Once we are able to get the family in there to be able to look around to determine if anything is missing, we’ll know a little bit more of what the motive might have been,” said Porter.
His sister says Alford was a father of three who lived alone in the house.

“Whoever did this. Turn yourself in. Please. It’s all I have to say. Turn yourself in,” said Alford’s sister.
Trotwood police say this homicide is the fourth one the department has had this year.
