COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)– Three people are dead and one was injured after a reported officer-involved shooting on Columbus’s west side.
According to Columbus police, the suspect in a shooting at a South Terrace Avenue home just after 5 p.m. Monday has died.
Police said the suspect shot four people inside the home, and three were pronounced dead. The survivor, a juvenile, was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
Police were called out to the scene after reports of a shooting in the area. Officials found the suspect several houses away from the scene of the shooting and was shot by police. The suspect was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries and was pronounced dead after 8 p.m.
Officials said they plan to interview a person who they believe was in the home during the time of the shooting but was not shot.
