BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) — For Troop 56 committee chairman Jay Jabour– it’s business as usual.

“We’re in a better location.  There’s a lot more traffic on the road. And the church has lighting in the parking lot. So we feel very comfortable here,” he said.

That — after one year ago, 20 of their trees were stolen from a lot one mile away.

“That really impacts the boys.”

Cutting into their funds by more than $1,000.

Police never caught the tree bandits; however, they didn’t let that stop them.

“The community stepped up and gave us a lot of donations that essentially made up the profit that we would have lost had we sold those trees.”

Donations came pouring in for the troops, and Jabour says all 30 boys were able to take their summer trip.

This year you can expect to find the same trees–280–located at the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene located on North Fairfield Road.
