BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) — The hustle and bustle of the holiday shopping season is well underway, but for some, Black Friday means more than just the deals.
“We usually go out every year but we haven’t dressed up before,” said shopper Shelly Persang.
The family dressed up like Santa and his four helpers at Kohl’s in Beavercreek to bring some holiday cheer to shoppers, hitting the racks and scoring some bargains.
“We have hit Target, Toys R Us, Kohl’s, Best Buy,” listed Brandi Deam.
The family has been shopping for the Black Friday door busters in the past but has never dressed up like this.
“We found this shirt and it started out like that, and then it just escalated into the whole outfit after that,” said Teresa Duncan.
They headed to the stores Thursday night even before their Thanksgiving meal settled in their stomachs. The only thing that kept them going was a lot of laughs and a lot of coffee.
“Shout out to Starbucks,” said Troy Irick.
While many were buying gifts for others, some had no shame in buying for themselves.
“I actually found a lot of deals for myself. It’s Merry Christmas to me,” said Cindy Knotts.
The group said their Black Friday mission was to shop until they drop.
“I think everyone should do this tradition. This is awesome. We’ve had a lot of people say that they’re going to do it next year,” said Irick.
