SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) — A three-year old boy suffering from a life-threatening disease is about to receive the trip of a lifetime.

Max Bisher is battling Hirschsprung’s Disease. It’s a disease that infects the colon.

Katie Bisher, Max’s mother, says her son was diagnosed with the disease a few days after he was born.

“Countless surgeries and procedures to take parts of his colon out,” she said.

She tells us he’s doing much better since his last surgery one year ago.

Today, the Kids Wish Network relayed the message on to a pair of ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’.

“Because of Wish Kids Network, and we’ve been saving up all of our pizza money for you, we got you something! Max, you’re going to go to Disney World!”

Max says he’s most excited to see Mickey Mouse and ride the rides.

“For how much he’s been through. That this is a reward for the years hardship he’s been through.”

A reward that could be seen while at a family at Rudy’s BBQ.

“We’re so blown away. We’re still blown away that this is actually happening to us. We feel undeserving but we know Max deserves this.”

The family will take their Disney World trip in February.
